Amey Consulting Scotland is seeking a permanent Lead Senior Civil Engineer to join our Structures team. The role focuses on leading design on major road schemes with Transport Scotland, mentoring junior designers, and coordinating with clients and partners across Scotland.

You will work from our Perth, Motherwell or Edinburgh offices in a hybrid pattern, with a standard 40-hour week and flexible arrangements to suit project needs.

Qualifications

• Senior Engineer level experience in civil engineering projects.
• Experience supervising junior designers.
• Knowledge of health, safety and welfare management.
• Ability to act as main engineering contact for projects.
• CDM regulations knowledge and risk management.
• Chartered status desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead a team to deliver technically sound engineering solutions in line with standards and client requirements.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation for scheme deliverables.
• Oversee junior staff and take responsibility for their actions.
• Manage budgets and costs to ensure commercial success of projects.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives; attend progress meetings.
• Contribute to bids and work winning activities; support business growth.
• Drive health and safety practices within the team.
