Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks an experienced Section Engineer specialising in bulk earthworks to join our regional project delivery team. You will supervise the site engineering team from construction through closeout, ensuring groundworks and civil packages are executed safely, to technical standards, on schedule and within budget.

Reporting to the Sub Agent, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating labour, plant and materials, and resolving technical queries to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certificate.
• Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and mentor site setting-out personnel and junior engineers.
• Coordinate with site management and foremen to allocate labour, plant, and materials effectively.
• Identify and resolve site technical queries; assist with temporary works schemes.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure delivery meets safety and quality standards.
• Contribute to progress reporting, short-term programming, resource management, and cost tracking.
• Ensure site teams have up-to-date technical drawings, specifications, and design updates.
