Job summary

Stirling Council is seeking a Chargehand Cleaner for Newton Primary School. The role offers 22 hours per week during term time (3pm–7.24pm) and involves supervising cleaning staff, ordering products, and key-holding to ensure cleaning provision.

You will use cleaning equipment (buffing machines, scrubbers, vacuums) and support colleagues. PVG membership is required; IT training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Supervise cleaning staff and provide cleaning service within Newton Primary School.
• Capable of lifting heavy items and operating cleaning machinery (buffing machines, scrubber dryers, vacuums).
• Willing to undertake basic IT training to use Stirling Council online systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support cleaning assistants at Newton Primary School.
• Order cleaning products and manage key-holding to enable cleaning provision.
• Work 22 hours per week during term time, 3pm–7.24pm, paid at Stirling Council Grade 2.
