Job summary

Experis Scotland is seeking two Engineering Leads to own the technical direction of a Salesforce Financial Services Cloud platform in Glasgow. You will combine architecture, development, integration and leadership to drive modernisation and scalable delivery within a complex financial services environment.

You will lead design, governance and CI/CD with Copado, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product teams to shape platform roadmaps while advancing AI-enabled engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Salesforce development experience (LWC, Flows, Apex)
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
• Experience in large-scale, regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, governance and data models

Engineering Lead (Salesforce Financial Services Cloud)

We're looking for two Engineering Leads to play a key role in a large-scale Salesforce transformation programme. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a Salesforce Financial Services Cloud platform that sits at the heart of the client lifecycle, helping drive modernisation, scalability and innovation across a complex financial services environment.

This is more than a leadership role. We're looking for hands‑on technical experts who can combine architecture, development, integration and team leadership while helping establish best‑in‑class engineering standards.

The Opportunity

As an Engineering Lead, you'll own the technical direction of the Salesforce platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant and aligned with long‑term business objectives.

Working closely with product teams, architects and delivery partners, you'll lead the design and delivery of enterprise Salesforce solutions, while helping build and develop an internal engineering capability that can support the platform for years to come.

You'll also play a key role in driving AI‑enabled software development practices, leveraging modern tooling and agentic approaches to improve engineering productivity, quality and delivery speed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the technical design and architecture of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud solutions.
• Define and implement engineering standards, patterns and best practices.
• Deliver hands‑on Salesforce development using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and Apex.
• Own Salesforce data modelling across households, person accounts, relationship structures and client lifecycle processes.
• Design and govern integrations with enterprise platforms using API‑led and event‑driven architectures.
• Drive CI/CD, release management and deployment best practice using Copado.
• Mentor and develop Salesforce engineers through code reviews, technical coaching and design leadership.
• Partner with product and business stakeholders to shape platform roadmaps and manage technical risk.
• Champion modern AI‑native software delivery practices and agentic development approaches.

Strong Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow and Salesforce development experience

Strong API and integration experience (REST/SOAP)

Knowledge of Salesforce security, governance, performance and sharing models

Experience leading development teams and acting as a technical authority

CI/CD and release management experience, ideally using Copado

Salesforce Platform Developer I certification

Experience working within large‑scale, complex or regulated environments

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Financial Services, Wealth Management or Asset Management experience.
• Marketing Cloud Engagement or Marketing Cloud Next.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
• Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional certification.
• Experience adopting AI‑assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Interest in agentic software development and AI‑enabled engineering practices.
