Job summary

Zenovo, based in Bristol, seeks a Lead Software Verification Engineer to drive verification of embedded software in safety-critical automotive/medical applications. You will own verification strategy, plan hands-on tests, review evidence, and mentor cross-functional teams.

The role demands 10+ years in software verification, strong testing expertise, and a track record of leading verification activities. On-site 3 days/week in Bristol City Centre with up to £80,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software verification, testing or embedded software in safety-critical contexts.
• Experience leading verification activities across projects or teams.
• Hands-on testing and verification with traceability to requirements.
• Knowledge of safety standards and verification evidence across lifecycles.
• Mentoring and collaboration across software, systems and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own all software verification activities from strategy to completion.
• Define verification strategies aligned with requirements and safety standards.
• Plan and execute hands-on testing, analyse results and drive defect resolution.
• Maintain requirements-to-test traceability and verify evidence.
• Review requirements, designs, code and verification artifacts for gaps.
• Lead verification reviews and support software releases and milestones.
• Mentor teammates and promote best practices in safety-critical verification.
