Job summary

Activate Learning is recruiting a permanent, full-time Designated Safeguarding Adviser to join our safeguarding team at Reading College. You will provide front-line safeguarding advice, triage needs, and referrals to internal and external agencies to support learners and staff.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification, have recent Advanced Safeguarding training, and bring experience in safeguarding or related settings.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding policies and regulations.
• Ability to maintain comprehensive safeguarding records.
• Person-centred approach with empathy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Meet learners and triage safeguarding needs.
• Refer to internal and external agencies as required.
• Advise teaching staff on appropriate actions to support students.
• Build and maintain relationships with families and carers.
