Job summary

GenesisCare UK is opening a brand-new Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) centre in Royal Tunbridge Wells. We seek a Lead SACT Nurse to provide clinical leadership, oversee daily SACT operations and build a high-performing nursing team.

Join a pioneering centre launching Autumn 2026, delivering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and cellular therapies with a patient-centered approach and strong governance. Lead from day one and shape the service’s culture and pathway design.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Current UKONS SACT Passport.
• Minimum 5 years’ post-registration oncology/haematology experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ senior clinical leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of governance, audit and risk management.
• Post-registration qualification in Oncology and/or Haematology.
• Advanced Life Support (or willingness to work towards).
• A commitment to safety, professionalism and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical leadership and oversight of SACT services.
• Ensure all systemic therapies are delivered in line with UKONS guidance, evidence-based practice and GenesisCare policies.
• Maintain advanced competence in SACT administration and toxicity management.
• Lead governance processes including audits, incident management and risk assessments.
• Support workforce planning to ensure safe staffing levels and appropriate skill mix.
• Promote a collaborative, compassionate and high-performing team culture.
• Work closely with consultants, pharmacists and operational teams to streamline patient pathways.
• Contribute to service development, business planning and the introduction of new therapies.
• Uphold high standards in medicines management, infection prevention and safe handling of cytotoxic drugs.
