Job summary

GenesisCare UK is seeking an exceptional Matron to lead our SACT and Outpatient nursing teams at our Guildford cancer centre. This pivotal leadership role provides strategic and operational direction to ensure clinical excellence and patient safety.

You will work closely with the Centre Leader and multidisciplinary teams to drive service improvement, build high-performing teams and deliver an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

• Senior oncology nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the SACT and Outpatient departments.
• Lead workforce planning, rostering, recruitment, induction, appraisal and staff development.
• Lead clinical governance, including audits, incident investigations, risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
• Build strong working relationships with consultants, clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
• Oversee clinic utilisation, patient flow and capacity management to maximise service performance.
• Deputise for the Centre Leader when required.
