Job summary

Third Republic Limited in London is seeking a Lead Ruby Developer to drive hands-on development and lead the web engineering team responsible for the company website, developer dashboards, common services, and provisioning APIs.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture for scalable web applications, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance platforms while advancing growth plans.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional Ruby experience.
• Backend development experience.
• Proficient in full-stack with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of React or Angular.
• Strong CI and testing frameworks knowledge.
• Experience leading architectural decisions.
• Experience with infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience with Node.js, Elixir or Go.

What You'll Be Doing:

You will be responsible for hands-on development and leading the web engineering team to deliver the company's website, developer dashboards, common services, and provisioning APIs that their customers, developers like yourself, depend on.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

• A minimum of 6 years’ professional experience using Ruby
• Experience in backend development
• Proficient in full-stack developer using HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Knowledge in at least one frontend framework such as React or Angular required
• Strong working knowledge and experience of continuous integration and testing frameworks
• Experience leading architectural decisions for large web applications
• Experience with infrastructure and distributed systems
• Experience with Node.js, Elixir or Go
