Berkshire Grey is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the manipulation capabilities of the Scoop program. You will shape architecture, set technical direction, and deliver high‑performance software enabling robots to interact with real environments.

You will collaborate across motion planning, kinematics, control, and multi‑arm coordination, driving production‑level robotics software from concept to deployment and ongoing support.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a closely related field with 10+ years of professional software development experience in production environments.
• Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience in robotics software development for production use.
• Advanced experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and automated testing (unit/integration/ROS2/HIL).

Aufgaben

• Define architecture, set technical direction, and develop advanced software for robotic manipulation.
• Lead work across motion planning, kinematics, control strategies, and multi-arm coordination.
• Architect and evolve simulation environments, automated tests, and hardware-in-the-loop workflows.
• Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex issues spanning software, hardware, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with hardware, controls, perception, product, and other software teams to integrate capabilities into systems.
