Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Lead RF Engineer to head the RF discipline for the Airborne AESA Radar (AAR) sector, guiding advanced radar technologies and leading a team of RF engineers. You will oversee development across Osprey 55, Osprey 20, Seaspray, Raven and related products from concept to customer delivery.

You will work in a dynamic lab environment with on-site requirements, mentoring engineers, and shaping RF strategy while collaborating across IPTs to ensure timely, high-quality

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related science (e.g. Physics).
• 5+ years in RF circuit design with microwave techniques and electromagnetic theory.
• Solid RF theory grounding and proficiency in RF circuit design.
• Expertise with RF test equipment such as VNA, signal generators and spectrum analysers.
• Passion for new technology and improving delivery to customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RF design team and hardware requirements management.
• Develop architecture definitions and interfaces for RF systems.
• Produce design reviews material and test planning documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage IPTs; work with PELs to maintain the project plan.
