Job summary

Leaders In Care in Stockport is seeking an experienced Residential Home Manager to lead an established elderly residential care service. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safe, person-centred care and build a stable, capable team.

With strong knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding, you will drive high standards, manage care planning and budgets, and maintain an inspection-ready home that positively impacts residents, families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a residential care home or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality assurance.
• Competence in care planning, medication management, audits and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and retain a capable staff team.
• Maintain high standards of person-centred residential and dementia care.
• Ensure compliance with CQC requirements and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Manage care planning, medication processes, risk assessments, audits and QA.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management.
• Monitor occupancy, staffing, agency use and budgets.
• Respond to complaints and safeguarding concerns.
• Create a positive, accountable culture focused on delivering good care.
• Keep the home inspection-ready at all times.
