Rocksteady is looking for a Lead Rendering Programmer to join our dedicated and collaborative team.

The role involves leading, supporting and providing technical guidance to our team of experienced rendering programmers. Working closely with the Engine Director and other tech leads, you’ll help to ensure the team delivers the systems needed to create the highest quality game experience for our players in line with the artistic vision of our Art Director.

You’ll also be applying your technical expertise directly by writing code, making optimisations, and resolving complex and challenging issues.

This role will be expected to work in a hybrid pattern, with some time in the week spent onsite in our London studio.

Leading, supporting and providing technical guidance for our team of experienced rendering programmers

Working with Production to ensure success in hitting our timelines through effective short- and long-term planning

Developing rendering features and systems

Profiling, optimising and helping set budgets

Coming up with creative solutions to support content creators

Leading by example in development best practices

Maintaining and improving team effectiveness and efficiency

Qualifications & Experience…

A high level of technical ability, including with C++

Professional game development experience on high quality projects

A broad and comprehensive understanding of rendering techniques

Knowledge of a variety of CPU, GPU and asset optimisation approaches

Self-directed, organised and able to prioritise effectively

Experience with Unreal Engine 4 preferred

Familiarity with the latest generation of consoles preferred

Your New Role…
