Job summary

Miller’s Vanguard is recruiting a Chief Refrigeration Engineer to be based at the Bury site. You will lead refrigeration activities, support Field Service Teams, and ensure work complies with current guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in refrigeration, UK driving licence, and F-Gas/C&G 2079 qualifications. This role requires travel across the UK to support complex service issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in refrigeration.
• You must be a fully qualified Refrigeration Engineer with F-Gas qualification (C&G 2079).
• You should hold NVQ / C&G Level 2 in Refrigeration or equivalent.
• Walk-in fridge/freezer experience.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Resolve refrigeration problems across the customer base and visit sites as needed.
• Act as a point of contact for refrigeration engineers.
• Support engineers in refrigeration tasks as directed by the business.
• Develop technical support data for refrigeration equipment and parts.
• Ensure refrigeration movements are documented and up to date.
• Liaise with department heads to plan refrigeration services.
• Keep F-Gas qualifications up to date and plan renewals.
• Audit refrigeration engineers to ensure standards.
