Job summary

Cross Group is seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing team. You will service, maintain and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems across client sites in the UK, using mainly HFC refrigerants and ensuring safe, compliant operation.

The role requires 3+ years’ experience, Level 3 NVQ refrigeration qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and strong fault finding.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in service and maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration plants.
• Level 3 NVQ Certificate in installing and commissioning refrigeration OR Level 3 NVQ Diploma in servicing and maintaining refrigeration
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
• Competence in carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Good working knowledge of refrigeration controls and electrical systems
• Safe handling of refrigerants and adherence to F-Gas regulations
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices within industrial environments
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems
• Fault finding and diagnostics on complex systems
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulation
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately
• Build strong working relationships with clients
