Job summary

PPM Ltd is seeking an experienced Day to Day Reactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead our reactive maintenance teams across Cumbria. This hands-on leadership role combines trade knowledge with planning, inspections and customer service to deliver high standards for our clients.

You will manage operatives, allocate works, review variations and ensure safe, timely completion. PVG clearance may be required; full driving licence is expected.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications and/or substantial experience within: Joinery, Building, Plumbing, Multi-trade maintenance.
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
• Experience within social housing, residential maintenance or construction.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively manage, motivate and support a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of reactive maintenance operatives on a daily basis.
• Allocate works and ensure resources are effectively managed.
• Carry out pre-inspections to assess work requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct post-inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet company and client standards.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of larger multi-trade projects.
• Review repair requirements, labour needs and timescales before work commences.
• Manage variation requests and ensure compliance with client procedures and contractual requirements.
• Coach and mentor operatives, promoting best practice and quality workmanship.
• Maintain excellent customer service and client relationships.
• Manage and allocate jobs through the Epix system.
• Review incoming repairs and works orders.
• Monitor job progress and ensure works are completed within agreed timeframes.
• Raise and process variation requests in line with client procedures.
• Update job records, notes and completion information accurately.
• Liaise with the scheduling team to coordinate workloads and larger projects.
• Produce reports and respond to client enquiries where required.
• Ensure all records and documentation are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
