Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking a Software Developer (React) to lead development of modern, high-performance web applications in a London-based hybrid setup. You will own greenfield projects from design to deployment, building data-heavy platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong React experience, a CS-related degree, and a passion for staying current with modern tools and practices. Python experience is a plus. Hybrid work in London is offered.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong commercial experience developing applications with React and the wider React ecosystem.
• Experience with Python would be an advantage.
• Previous exposure to trading or FinTech is beneficial but not essential.
• A genuine interest in technology and a desire to stay up to date with modern tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development of modern, responsive web applications with a strong focus on performance and user experience.
• Taking ownership of greenfield products, from initial design through to production deployment.
• Building complex, data-intensive platforms and analytical tools capable of handling large-scale datasets and demanding workflows.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code while helping shape the long-term architecture of the platform.
