ITS (Cheltenham) Ltd in Gloucester is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their head office. You will take commercial ownership of projects up to about £2m, working with operations and commercial teams to deliver value and meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Experience running your own projects commercially, up to ~£2m.
• Strong experience producing and managing CVRs.
• Commercially astute with a strong understanding of costs, margins, forecasting and risk.
• Strong measurement skills with the ability to measure works accurately.
• Experience managing subcontractors, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Commercially managing your own projects, typically up to £2m in value, or supporting on larger-scale projects.
• Preparing and managing CVRs and providing accurate commercial reporting.
• Effectively measuring works and maintaining accurate quantities.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitoring project costs, margins and forecasts.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
• Managing contractual and commercial obligations.
• Working closely with the wider project team to maximise commercial performance.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
