Murphy is recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our water business on a newly awarded major infrastructure project in Oxford. The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, experience managing commercial activities on big schemes (£50m+), and strong NEC contracts knowledge.

A Chartered MRICS status or working towards is preferred, with a full UK driving licence. The position is based in Oxford with a hybrid working pattern, offering enhanced benefits and a clearly defined career

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing commercial activities on large projects (£50m+).
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts.
• Experience in cost reporting, forecasting, risk management and change control.
• Strong negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards chartership.
• Experience within the water sector.
• Experience working for a principal contractor on complex infrastructure schemes.
