Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group supports an established engineering and construction business in appointing an experienced Quantity Surveyor for multi-project commercial leadership, tender handover to final account. The role is primarily office-based in Worksop with occasional site travel.

You will hold a QS degree, with strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts, subcontract procurement, valuations and final accounts, plus Excel expertise and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline required.
• Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC and other standard forms of contract.
• Experience with subcontract procurement, valuations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commercial management systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for multiple concurrent engineering and construction projects.
• Produce monthly cost value reconciliations and commercial reports.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Oversee contract administration, including contractual notices, variations and compensation events.
• Manage subcontractor valuations, payment applications, variations and final accounts.
• Prepare client applications for payment and interim valuations.
• Monitor project expenditure, budgets and financial forecasts.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Managers and Design teams.
• Provide commercial input into project planning, programming and risk management.
• Support tender reviews and provide commercial feedback to estimating teams.
