Job summary

Nexus Life Sciences in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior QC Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract to ensure quality and compliance of pharmaceutical products. The role reports to the QC Manager and focuses on leading a team, GMP/GLP adherence, and product release testing.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Chemical Sciences and at least 5 years in GMP QC/Analytical environments, with experience in HPLC, GC, and spectroscopy, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in Chemical Sciences or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years in GMP QC/Analytical roles.
• Proficiency with HPLC, GC and spectroscopy techniques.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and leading QC analysts in GMP/GLP.
• Reviewing batch docs and test results for release.
• Performing analytical testing using HPLC/GC.
• Allocating duties to analysts for production release.
• Approving labels for production use.
• Preparing SOPs, raw material docs and reports.
• Providing technical support and maintaining equipment.
• Ensuring lab housekeeping and safety training.
• Supporting inspection readiness and continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with QA and Production for smooth operations.
• Reviewing data against pharmacopeial specs.
