Lead QA/Test Manager

Epsom & Barbican | Hybrid (One day a week ) | Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover, 12 months from August 2025 to July 2026) | Full-Time

Competitive salary available, depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Lead QA / Test Manager to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead and coordinate QA and testing efforts across several critical healthcare technology domains, including:

  • Secondary care systems

  • Diagnostics

  • Electronic Patient Records (EPR)

  • Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

  • PACS/RIS (Imaging and Radiology Systems)

Your work will directly impact the quality of care we provide to patients and the tools our staff rely on every day.


You should have:

  • Experience in most of the following healthcare areas: Secondary, Diagnostics, EPR, LIMS, PACS & RIS.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in QA/testing and supporting others in the same.

  • Proven experience line managing, mentoring and coaching QA Managers and QA Analysts.

  • Experience recruiting the best QA Managers & QA Analysts.

  • Experience matrix-managing multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams, working with a wide variety of stakeholders including product owners, delivery managers, architects and end-users.

  • Experience of balancing multiple priorities, whilst dealing with ambiguity.

  • Experience in capacity management of team members.

  • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies including functional, regression and performance testing.

  • Experience of communicating and documenting test strategies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a sharp attention to detail that ensures high-quality outcomes.

You might have:

  • Solid understanding of HL7 messaging

  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

  • Experience working in both agile and waterfall teams.

  • Experience monitoring and reporting on QA metrics.

  • Knowledge of compliance standards relevant to the healthcare industry

  • Experience working with overseas partners.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  • Experience with AI-driven testing
