Job summary

Syntax Consultancy Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Python Full Stack Developer for a 6-month contract, mainly remote with travel to London or Leeds on a hybrid basis. Start ASAP, ideally August 2026.

You will work with Core Python, Flask and Django, and build front-ends using Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.

The role requires mentoring juniors, leading design and development, and collaborating in Agile teams within AWS, Terraform, Docker and CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

• Proven Python development experience with Flask or Django.
• Experience building modern front-ends with Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor junior developers.
• Experience in AWS environment and DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC).
• Experience with ORM, server-side templating, and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex Python-based applications.
• Mentor junior developers and drive development projects.
• Develop front-end interfaces using Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Oversee integration of components and debugging.
• Work in an Agile environment and apply design patterns.
