Job summary

Syntax Consultancy Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Python Full Stack Developer for a 6-month contract, mainly remote with travel to London or Leeds on a hybrid basis. Start ASAP, ideally August 2026.

You will work with Core Python, Flask and Django, and build front-ends using Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.

The role requires mentoring juniors, leading design and development, and collaborating in Agile teams within AWS, Terraform, Docker and CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

• Proven Python development experience with Flask or Django.
• Experience building modern front-ends with Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor junior developers.
• Experience in AWS environment and DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC).
• Experience with ORM, server-side templating, and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex Python-based applications.

Python Full Stack Developer

Leeds (Hybrid)

Python Full Stack Developer needed for a 6 Month Contract in mainly remote with some travel London or Leeds (Hybrid). Start ASAP ideally August 2026.

Using Core Python, and web frameworks like Flask + Django & Front-end development using Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.

Hybrid Working Mainly remote and travel working on-site in the Leeds or London office when required basis.

Key experience, responsibilities + tasks:

• Leading the design + development of complex applications using Core Python, and web frameworks like Flask + Django.
• Strong Python development expertise, and strong leadership skills, including the ability to drive development projects, and mentor junior developers.
• Front-end development using Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS and HTML to create seamless user interfaces.
• Technical Environment: Full Stack, Python, Flask, Django, Vue.js, React, CSS, HTML, Agile methods, Design Patterns, Object Relational Mappers (ORMs), server-side templating languages, Unit/API testing, AWS, CI/CD.
• SQL Server database experience, including developing / optimizing SQL Server databases, data analysis, and efficient data storage / retrieval.
• Familiar with AWS Cloud Services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, serverless architectures + Docker containers.
• Developing applications using event-driven programming paradigms + adhering to design patterns like Model View Template (MVT), and Model View Controller (MVC).
• Mentoring junior developers in coding standards, Github version control, and code tracking.
• Overseeing integration of various software components and debugging and trouble‑shooting applications.
• Implementing best practice in software development, including exception handling, data structures + object‑oriented programming (OOP).
• SC Security Cleared candidates strongly desirable.
