Job summary

Oliver Bernard, in partnership with a global InsurTech firm, is seeking a Lead Python Developer to join their London-based engineering team and take ownership across architecture and delivery of scalable, data-driven platforms.

You'll mentor engineers, drive engineering standards, and shape platform direction as the team scales, with hybrid working in London and a strong emphasis on technical ownership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building Python-based backend services and platforms.
• Experience designing scalable backend architectures and services.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL and SQL Server; experience with large-scale data systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front on engineering best practices and architecture decisions.
• Mentor engineers and improve developer experience as the platform scales.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers and Data Scientists to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
