Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience developing in Python.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with validation standards.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
• Practical experience in cloud computing.
• Knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.
• Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the SDLC toolchain and automation capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams for architectural designs.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive adoption of new technologies.
• Contribute to a team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
