Job summary

CW Talent Solutions partners with a global proprietary trading firm to hire a Lead Python Developer for their DeFi trading desk in London. You will build and scale Python-based trading infrastructure and work closely with the founding team to shape its technical foundation.

The role requires expert Python skills (async/await, scalable design), knowledge of DeFi protocols and on-chain logic, plus experience with distributed systems and microservices.

Qualifications

• Expert Python development with async/await and scalable design.
• Knowledge of DeFi protocols (AMMs, MEV, liquidations) and smart contracts.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Ability to read Solidity and understand on-chain logic.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale Python-based trading infrastructure.
• Integrate with smart contracts and DeFi protocols.
• Design microservices to enhance trading and automation.
• Take ownership of key system components from architecture to deployment.
• Optimize performance, with opportunities to use Rust for high-speed workloads.
