Job summary

Correct Contract Services Limited is seeking a Purchase Ledger Team Lead to oversee daily operations, ensure accurate processing of invoices and reconciliations, and drive continuous improvement within a fast-moving finance environment.

The role requires strong numeracy, detail orientation, and the ability to prioritise, work independently and as part of a team. AAT qualification and Sage experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger supervisory or team leadership role is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and controls (at least 3 years’ experience).
• Sage 50 Accounts / Sage Intacct preferred but not essential
• Microsoft Office
• Reporting skills, administrative and writing skills.
• Following processes, organisation and the ability to analyse information.
• Professionalism, problem solving and communication skills.
• Strong Excel Skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• AAT Qualification preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the Purchase Ledger team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Oversee the accurate processing of supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring appropriate matching, coding and authorisation procedures are followed.
• Review and oversee supplier statement reconciliations to maintain accurate supplier accounts.
• Manage the subcontractor payment process, ensuring payments are accurate, timely and compliant with CIS requirements.
• Monitor and review company credit card reconciliations, ensuring expenditure is supported by receipts and documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.
• Answer telephone calls, addressing customer and supplier requirements or redirecting to the appropriate department.
• Perform additional duties as required
