Job summary
Rullion is seeking a Lead Protection & Control Engineer to take full technical ownership of the Protection & Control scope across the project lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning. You will lead design reviews, provide technical assurance, and coordinate with clients and vendors.
Hybrid working is available with locations in Glasgow or Stone. Apply expertise in IEC 61850, protection coordination, and vendor technologies (GE, Siemens, SEL) to deliver robust protection schemes for power
Qualifications
- Experience delivering Protection & Control engineering solutions within Transmission and/or Distribution.
- Knowledge of IEC 61850 and substation communications.
- Familiarity with ENA/BS/IEC standards and DNO/National Grid requirements.
- Experience with Protection equipment from major vendors (GE, Siemens, SEL).
Responsibilities
- Lead technical ownership of the Protection & Control scope across the full project lifecycle.
- Chair and lead engineering design reviews and technical assurance activities.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Engage with clients, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure compliant deliverables.
