Zusammenfassung

AECOM is seeking a Principal Protection & Control Design Engineer to lead HV/EHV protection design activities for major projects from Birmingham. You will shape protection philosophies, develop SLDs and interface with RTU/SCADA systems while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE standards.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to technical standards, and support business development with proposals and client presentations in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of protection schemes for HV/EHV substations.
• Experience with protection relays from Siemens, GE, ABB/Hitachi, Schneider or SEL.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience on UK/Middle East/Europe/international utility projects.

Aufgaben

• Prepare Protection & Control designs for HV/EHV substations (11kV-400kV+).
• Develop SLDs, AC/DC Schematics, Wiring Diagrams and Terminal Plans.
• Design Relay Panels, Control Panels and RTU/SCADA interfaces.
• Coordinate with Civil, Primary, Telecom and SCADA teams.
• Review vendor drawings for project compliance and standards.
• Engage with clients, provide technical assurance and value-engineering.
