Job Description Summary

High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems enable utilities to move more power further, efficiently integrate renewables, interconnect grids, and improve network performance. HVDC systems utilize power electronics technology to convert AC and DC voltage and are ideal for supporting existing systems or building new power highways.

GE is globally recognized for designing, manufacturing, and delivering customized HVDC solutions for utilities worldwide. With over 130 years of pioneering experience, GE offers two HVDC technologies, Line Commutated Converters (LCC) and Voltage Source Converters (VSC), supporting a broad range of applications including overhead line, back to back, submarine/land cable, and offshore schemes.

Every HVDC solution is tailored based on project-specific assessments to meet customer requirements, whether for offshore wind connection, long-distance power transmission, or energy trading between networks.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Provide vital planning support for new HVDC projects in Europe, ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget.
2. Participate in the HVDC Project Controls team to meet global project requirements.
3. Deliver planning and costing for HVDC scope of work as part of overall project execution.

Scheduling:

1. Develop tender schedules using established tools and ensure schedule risks are managed effectively.
2. Create and maintain a comprehensive project schedule integrating inputs from all stakeholders.
3. Ensure proper linkages and dependencies are represented in the schedule.
4. Collaborate with the project team to align schedules and ensure accountability.
5. Communicate schedule status and risks regularly, including contract-specific customer reporting.

Key Skills:

• Proven planning/scheduling experience in major projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Ability to influence and drive project teams to control project outcomes.
