We're partnering with a leading global insurance group to recruit an experienced Lead Project Manager to join their high-performing Change function. This is a critical permanent opportunity for a confident delivery professional with deep experience in complex transformation programmes, particularly across specialty insurance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in raising project management standards, embedding best practice, and leading a team of Project Managers, while also delivering major initiatives themselves.

Leadership & Oversight

• Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers across international locations
• Drive consistent project governance, reporting, and assurance standards
• Oversee the quality and accuracy of project documentation and financials
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and excellence

Project Delivery

• Lead large-scale business change and transformation projects end-to-end
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define scope, benefits, and business cases
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies across complex workstreams
• Ensure delivery of tangible business outcomes and benefit realisation

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships across senior business and technology stakeholders
• Act as the key liaison between the Change function, delivery teams, and PMO
• Provide clear, structured updates to executives and governance forums

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years' project management experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role
• Proven background in insurance/reinsurance (Lloyd’s market knowledge needed)
• Track record of successfully delivering large-scale change and technology projects
• Strong project assurance, governance and reporting capabilities
• Professional PM qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)
• Confident, analytical, and highly organised with exceptional communication skills
