We're partnering with a leading global insurance group to recruit an experienced Lead Project Manager to join their high-performing Change function. This is a critical permanent opportunity for a confident delivery professional with deep experience in complex transformation programmes, particularly across specialty insurance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in raising project management standards, embedding best practice, and leading a team of Project Managers, while also delivering major initiatives themselves.

Leadership & Oversight

Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers across international locations
Drive consistent project governance, reporting, and assurance standards
Oversee the quality and accuracy of project documentation and financials
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and excellence

Project Delivery

Lead large-scale business change and transformation projects end-to-end
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define scope, benefits, and business cases
Manage risks, issues, and dependencies across complex workstreams
Ensure delivery of tangible business outcomes and benefit realisation

Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong relationships across senior business and technology stakeholders
Act as the key liaison between the Change function, delivery teams, and PMO
Provide clear, structured updates to executives and governance forums

What We're Looking For

10+ years' project management experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role
Proven background in insurance/reinsurance (Lloyd’s market knowledge needed)
Track record of successfully delivering large-scale change and technology projects
Strong project assurance, governance and reporting capabilities
Confident, analytical, and highly organised with exceptional communication skills
