Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Project Manager to lead civil engineering and water infrastructure projects across the Bristol area. The role involves delivering projects from conception through to completion, supporting sustainable water and wastewater services for communities in the region.

You will manage design, engineering, construction, commercial and handover phases, drive risk management and value engineering, and provide leadership to project teams, consultants, suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project management within civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of the water or wastewater sector and regulated project environments.
• Experience managing complex projects to high standards of compliance and quality.
• Experience with budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Ability to lead teams and drive collaborative delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery in line with scope, budget, programme, quality and health and safety standards.
• Manage design, engineering, construction, commercial and handover phases.
• Implement effective risk management and value engineering processes.
• Provide direction, motivation and leadership to project teams, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reports for customers and key stakeholders.
• Build strong customer relationships and proactively address project requirements.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring performance and relationships.
• Review and approve project management plans, health and safety plans and method statements.
• Support business planning, bid development and growth opportunities within the water framework.
• Coach and develop project staff, encouraging a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
