Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Project Manager - Civils to join its delivery team. You will lead safe, efficient delivery of major civil engineering and water infrastructure projects from award to handover, ensuring programme, safety and commercial objectives are met.

The role requires experience in civil engineering/water sectors, strong NEC contract and contract management knowledge, and proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Significant project management experience in civil engineering, utilities or water projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and contract management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams and managing risk.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• SMSTS and IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Construction qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of civil engineering, water and infrastructure projects to achieve safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives.
• Administer NEC contracts and manage change control, risk and opportunity processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and project stakeholders.
• Lead project planning, resource management and delivery performance.
• Drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
• Develop and mentor project teams, promoting high performance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure robust governance, reporting and project controls throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the successful handover of completed projects and the development of long-term client relationships.
