About The Role

Lead Project Manager – Data Centres –London

  • Associate Director level

Gleeds Data Centres is recruiting for a Lead Project Manager to work as a client representative for a new DC project in London. This role will be taking the project from concept design to commissioning, managing GC's, architects and guiding the client through the project.

Your day to day will be varied depending on the project you are working on; this will keep you challenged and engaged in the work we deliver however some key responsibilities that will always remain constant are:

  • Deliver complex programmes on behalf of client organisations and realise the expected benefits
  • Manage the full programme lifecycle from initiation through to close-out
  • Manage the programme budget to deliver benefits in accordance with the limits of authority
  • Ensure all programme documentation is produced to the satisfaction of the client
  • Prepare business cases to ensure a viable programme progresses
  • Management of a broad range of stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and from an array of interest groups
  • Ensure the programme team are suitably qualified, competent and experienced to fulfil their roles
  • Act on behalf of the client for all programme delivery issues
  • Ensure client satisfaction for performance and always maintain the company reputation

About You

Who we're looking for

  • Relevant experience in Project/Programme Management, experience in Data Centres
  • Experience in the London market, good understanding of the local supply chain
  • Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered.
  • Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable, and will be supported if not already attained.
