Job summary

Xylem is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead delivery of complex temporary pumping, bypass and dewatering projects across the UK water and utilities sector. You will own projects from handover through mobilisation, installation, operation and demobilisation, coordinating customers, operations, engineering and suppliers to meet programme, cost and safety targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer delivering infrastructure and pump projects.
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors and utility companies.
• Strong understanding of project delivery, planning and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate delivery of pump rental and temporary works projects from award to completion.
• Act as primary project lead between customers, operations, engineering, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, resource plans and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate mobilisation activities including plant, equipment, labour, transport, lifting and site access.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and implement mitigation.
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and management.
• Manage project close-out, capture lessons learned and drive improvement.
• Attend client meetings and translate requirements into delivery plans.
