Job summary

Navantia UK is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical leadership across multiple engineering projects, guiding them from concept to completion. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient and compliant solutions, influencing investment decisions, and aligning with business needs.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team in Belfast, with opportunities for hands-on engineering and strategic project leadership.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent engineering qualification with substantial experience.
Project management capability; APM or Prince2 qualifications are a bonus.
Eligibility for Baseline Security Clearance and awareness of HSE standards.

Responsibilities

Lead technical delivery across multiple projects from concept to completion.
Provide input on planning, estimating and project management to meet scope, time and budget.
Manage risks, maintain risk registers and document lessons learned.
Develop resource plans and ensure utilisation across projects.
Act as technical focal point, drive change and ensure technical excellence.
Chair subcontractor meetings and report progress with clear stakeholder communication.
Produce drawings and documentation for control and electrical systems.
Support site teams with fault-finding and technical assistance.
Drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.
