Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking a Project Design Engineer for a permanent position in Desborough, Northamptonshire. You will lead design from concept through to commissioning on bespoke plant layouts, conveyors and process equipment, working within a collaborative team focused on engineering excellence.

The role requires producing 2D/3D GA drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, defining technical specs, creating BOMs, site visits, and supporting the project lifecycle from design to handover.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in project engineering and project design.
• Experience with GA drawings and system layouts.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with conveyors and recycling equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D/3D GA drawings for projects and sales.
• Optimize layouts for space and process efficiency.
• Lead engineering development from concept to commissioning.
• Create and release BOMs in the MRP system.
• Provide engineering support during installation and testing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Projects, and Manufacturing teams.
