Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United Kingdom seeks a Lead Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement of heat exchanger manufacturing processes. You will lead a team of Process Engineers, set standards, and collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and quality across value streams.

The role champions lean principles and process capability, delivering improvements in producibility, throughput and cost. Excellent leadership and aerospace domain knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in heat exchanger manufacture/fabrication, brazing, welding and complex assembly.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and CI methodologies; GD&T to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Process Engineering team; set priorities and allocate resources.
• Establish engineering standards and governance for manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
• Lead RRCA activities for significant production issues; drive Lean tools.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability; support supplier development.
