Job summary
Omega in Shropshire is seeking a Process Chemical Engineer / Process Technology Lead to become the technical authority on manufacturing process performance and optimisation. You will drive improvements in process capability, yield, OEE, CIP performance and overall reliability across multiple production lines.
The role focuses on leading technology upgrades, optimizing processes for quality and energy efficiency, and supporting new product introductions while coaching teams to adopt best
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent industry experience in Chemical/Process/Manufacturing engineering.
- Strong knowledge of process optimisation and manufacturing performance improvement.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience improving process capability, yield, efficiency or reliability.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for manufacturing process performance and optimisation.
- Drive improvements in Process Capability & Yield, OEE, and reliability.
- Lead CIP optimisation projects to reduce water and chemical consumption.
- Support new product introductions and process validation activities.
- Coach production teams in manufacturing best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Quality teams.
