Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions seeks a Manager, Process Development to lead the chemical process development for API candidates at our Detroit and Riverview facilities. The role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering projects to meet contract terms and cGMP requirements, with client-facing input as needed.

You will collaborate across QA, QC, Engineering, Safety, and Operations to ensure resources and timelines are aligned, while preparing technical reports and development documentation for

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry/ Medicinal Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering.
• Ten years of experience in drug and fine chemical development.
• Knowledge of classic and modern synthetic methods.
• Track record of building and leading research teams (up to 5).
• Familiar with project management tools and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new synthesis processes for APIs at Detroit and Riverview sites.
• Plan activities to meet timelines, specifications, and FDA/cGMP requirements.
• Provide technical input and prepare reports for senior management and clients.
• Coordinate with QA/QC/Engineering/Safety/Operations for project success.
• Support technology transfer and effective communication with clients.
