Surrey and Borders Partnership Foundation Trust are proud to provide outstanding Forensic Mental Health services to the population of Surrey.

Our Forensic Outreach and Liaison (FOLs) team works to advocate for individuals with a forensic profile, ensuring they receive appropriate care close to home and minimizing unnecessary secure placements.

We seek a passionate and committed lead psychologist to join our FOLs team. You will work with supportive multidisciplinary teams, providing supervision and contributing to service development.

Main duties of the job
  1. Plan and deliver a highly specialist psychology service, overseeing clinical governance.
  2. Lead and develop a team or service area.
  3. Develop and implement policies, protocols, and care pathways.
  4. Address needs of people with protected characteristics within services.
  5. Apply highly specialist psychological assessments, formulation, interventions, and consultation.
  6. Supervise/train students and junior staff, participate in educational audits, and support new staff induction.
  7. Research best practices and benchmark against standards.
  8. Lead clinical audits and research, staying current with developments.

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
  • Completion of a clinical supervision course for trainee supervision
  • HCPC registration
