Job summary

Anderson Wright Consulting is recruiting a Principal Engineer for our Congleton site to lead mechanical engineering teams and deliver high‑quality solutions in a regulated environment. You will provide technical leadership, oversee complex projects and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The role focuses on mentoring engineers, driving continuous improvement, liaising with customers and stakeholders, and delivering on time, cost and quality objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams on complex projects in a regulated industry.
• Strong mechanical design background for vessels and piping within process environments.
• Experience delivering projects on time, cost and quality in a governance-heavy setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering teams to deliver complex projects on time and to spec.
• Provide technical leadership and sign off on calculations, designs and reports.
• Coach and develop engineers, supporting technical growth and career development.
• Act as primary technical liaison with customers and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, codes and standards relevant to the industry.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, standards and systems.
