This senior role requires strong technical leadership, managing projects, teams and client relationships, with experience across residential, healthcare, education, commercial and regeneration schemes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in mechanical building services design within consultancy or contractor environments.
• Strong technical knowledge across building services systems and design standards.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering and Chartered status (CEng).
• Experience leading projects and managing teams.
• Proficient in design tools such as Revit, IES and Hevacomp.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design across projects, acting as the technical lead within multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage project delivery, ensuring technical quality, programme and commercial performance.
• Oversee and review design outputs including calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Engage directly with clients, ensuring requirements are understood and delivered.
• Carry out QA reviews to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Advise on energy efficiency, sustainability and carbon reduction.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and wider project teams.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and apprentices.

This is a senior leadership role suited to an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong technical expertise and the ability to lead projects, manage teams and build lasting client relationships.

You will play a key role in delivering projects across sectors including residential, healthcare, education, commercial and regeneration schemes.

The Role
