Job Title: Lead/Principal Hardware & Firmware Engineer

Location: Warwickshire

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 per annum

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days in the office)

Role Overview

The Lead/Principal Hardware & Firmware Engineer will lead the design and architecture of our technology and products throughout the full product lifecycle. The role involves leading and mentoring a small, innovative team.

Key Skills & Experience

• 7-10+ years industry experience
• Leadership, management, coaching, and mentoring skills
• Experience in full product design lifecycle and electronics circuit design (analogue, digital, power, RF)
• PCB design and schematic capture
• Embedded software programming in C
• Experience with microcontrollers such as STM32, ARM Cortex, Microchip PIC
• Network interfaces: SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RF
• Knowledge of DFM, DFC, DFT
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Product safety and compliance (EMC/EMI, CE, FCC)
• Experience with battery-powered Bluetooth or Wi-Fi devices
• Analog electronics design
• Experience in startup or small team environments
