Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a passionate and highly skilled leader to head our team in Alternative Provision. You will support a small group of pupils in a bespoke education setting within a mainstream school, delivering SALT and OT strategies as appropriate.

The role requires a strong SEN focus, excellent English, and the ability to lead by example. Salary is competitive and the post is fixed-term, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 3:45pm, term time only, including INSET days.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and strategies to support children.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team delivering specialist support for pupils in our Alternative Provision.
• Provide creative, enriching and learning opportunities for the children.
• Organise, plan and monitor progress to raise achievement.
