Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Teacher for an Alternative Provision setting in the Yardley area. This full-time, long-term role will support Key Stage 3/4 students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviours, within a smaller, tailored setting.

You will deliver cross-curricular lessons with a strong focus on English, and teachers from all subject backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Salary will follow the client's pay policy.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 3/4
  • Experience with SEMH needs is a plus
  • Ability to deliver engaging cross-curricular lessons

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging cross-curricular lessons with a focus on English
  • Manage small teaching groups (up to six per group) and oversee classes up to 15 students across the school

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher looking for a life changing and rewarding opportunity within an Alternative Provision setting?

We, Academics, are seeking a well-suited individual to work in one of our Alternative Provision schools, located in the Yardley area, who are seeking a full-time teacher to join their team on a long-term basis.

The school primarily supports Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 pupils with EHCPS, who mainly display Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging cross-curricular lessons, with a particular focus on English. However, teachers from all subject backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The Role:
  • Full-time, Long-term
  • Secondary-aged students
  • Maximum of 15 students across the school

Maximum of 6 students per teaching groupThis is a great opportunity for Teachers who are looking for a role that will really make an impact on the students, as well as supporting those pupils re-engage with education in a smaller and tailored setting.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
