Job summary

Craigiebarn Owls Out of School Care Club is seeking a Practitioner / Lead Support Worker to join our team in Dundee, Scotland. The role is approximately 18 hours per week, with potential for additional hours during school holidays, at £13.86 per hour, rising to £14.60 with a temporary supplement funded until 31 March 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare or playwork settings.
• Ability to lead sessions and guide staff.
• Understanding of child-centred, play-based practice.
• Willingness to undertake PVG check and SSSC registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, child-centred care and play opportunities.
• Take a lead role within sessions and support service running.
• Support and guide staff in day-to-day practice.
• Lead activity planning based on children's interests.
• Promote wellbeing, inclusion and safeguarding.
