We are a Multi Academy Trust comprising six secondary schools and one primary school, with over 750 employees and more than 5,500 students, based in Dudley, West Midlands.
This is an exciting and new opportunity to work alongside the Head of Science. The successful candidate will be a qualified instructional coach or be prepared to complete this training, to develop teaching, learning, and pedagogy across the department and wider school.
The Lead Practitioner of Science is part of a team responsible for developing the quality of teaching, learning, and pedagogy across the department and the wider school. The Lead Practitioner is also accountable for ensuring students have opportunities for and experiences of extra-curricular Science activities.
The Lead Practitioner works closely with the Head of Department, senior staff, and the central team. Lead Practitioners help accelerate improvement and raise standards in their subject area.
They will support in planning and delivering high-quality lessons, improving outcomes, and ensuring student engagement in extra-curricular activities. They will analyze performance data to support students in achieving their best possible outcomes.
